Dear Roach,

Many thanks for your letter R/D 6536 dated 3rd
October regarding arrangements for your examinations in
English in Hong Kong. We shall always be glad to receive
information regarding similar arrangements in any of the Colonial Dependencies. If you have time to prepare a
special note for "Oversea Education" on these examinations
and on their significance for the Colonial Empire, with in-
formation regarding the Colonial centres in which such exami-
nations are being held or contemplated, I shall be most
happy to have it. Anything for our next (January 1939)
number ought to reach me before the middle of November.
I appreciated so much your French poem in the last
number of the "Journal of Education".
Yours sincerely,
(signed) Arthur Mayhew
J. O. Roach, Esq.
